THE RIGHT OF OCCUPATION CONCEPT
A person buys right of occupation from the “Goeie Hoop Housing” company. Should the person die or move, the initial purchase-price will be reimbursed to the person or his/her estate by the company (an article 21 company of the D.R. Church). The right of occupation will then be sold to a next person. This is therefore not a property transaction.
CONTROL AND SUPERVISION
The control and supervision fall under the Board of Control of the Bellville Senior Centre. A residents committee, on which members have direct representation on the Board of Control look after the resident’s interests.
